Testing and Certification

ITL offers a range of regulatory testing and certification appropriately authorised by a third party Inspection Body, where applicable.

Typical inspections and tests include:

• Degassing of Vehicles (Fuel Tankers)
• Three Yearly Intermediate Periodic (3Y) as per SANS 10231
• Six Yearly Major Periodic (6Y) as per SANS 10231
• Safe Loading Pass Certification
• Pressure Testing in accordance with Pressure Equipment Regulations
• Calibration of Meters
• Vehicle COF

All vehicles, except fuel tankers, are to be presented to ITL with a cleanliness certificate; alternatively ITL can assist in having the vehicle cleaned, at an additional cost.

The Test and Certification Division operates on a workshop schedule and workshop time is booked in advance in order to maintain a high level of efficiency and vehicle turnaround time.
