Service and Maintenance

ITL performs pro-active service and maintenance work on trailers in accordance with a predefined service schedule with specific tasks.

Each service job is accompanied by a job card and includes:

  • setting wheel alignment
  • performing a brake test on the on-site brake roller tester

The main focus of the pro-active service is to ensure proper lubrication and cleanness of moving parts, attention to bearings and thoroughly checking bolt torques with torque wrenches on suspension systems and structures.

Minor services are typically done every 30 000 to 40 000 km and takes approximately half a day to complete. Major services, which include repacking of bearings, take a full day and are typically performed once per year ideally to coincide with the annual COF renewal.

The Service Division operates on a workshop schedule and workshop time is booked in advance in order to maintain a high level of efficiency and vehicle turnaround time.
